Alfred lived at Canonbury, London. He was one of four R.A.M.C. personnel from the 1/3rd East Anglian Field Ambulance to embark on H.M.T. 'Royal Edward' on 29th July 1915 at Devonport. He was the only one who lost their life when the boat was sunk by a German submarine. He was the son of Lewis Charles and Mary Ann Price.
