Victor resided at 2 Heath Cottages Barming and was a milkman. He enlisted on 11th March 1915 and was sent to France on the 23rd January 1917 and arrived in France on the 24th January 1917 and served with the 2/1st Home Counties Field Ambulance as a stretcher bearer. He was officially registered as a Prisoner of War on 21st March 1918 and was repatriated from Germany on 11th December 1918. His mother wrote to the whereabouts of her son as his brother Lennard had been killed in May 1917. Victor returned and worked at the Maidstone asylum.
