George Killick was born in Lewes. He was a barman at the Royal Star Hotel Maidstone. He enlisted with the 1st Home Counties FA TA on the 6th March 1915. He was sent to France on the 23rd January 1918 to serve with the 2/1st Home Counties FA with the 58th London division as a stretcher bearer. He was badly gassed at Villiers Brettoneux on the 17th April 1918 and remained at duty. He also suffered from influenza whilst on service and on his return to the UK he died of pulmonary tuberculosis on the 16th January 1919.
