After the war he migrated to Australia with his bride (Annie Rose Cassidy), and had 5 children (residence at 88 Amy St., Regents Park, a Sydney Suburb).

His eldest Son, Lawrence served in the Pacific in WW2, and his eldest grandson, Robert served in the Vietnam War in 1967-68.
